October 18: The Secret of Galle Fort
MEET THE FORT

Place and time: Nagaswatta, Building Hope Children’s center | 12.30-2pm (please be at the class 15 minutes early)
Intro:
For the next 7 weekends, we will focus on a program centered around the Galle fort, and learning about its history in a fun and creative way. (By creating our very own game) Here’s what’s in store:

You will need
Materials
Large pictures of historic forts, including one of Galle Fort
A large sheet of paper or whiteboard
A4 paper or pre-cut character cards (Suren to prepare), size: 8 x 16 cm, draw on paper- stick onto cardboard min. 400 gsm
Pencils, crayons, coloured pencils and markers
Scissors and glue, if needed
Small envelopes or folders labelled with each pair's name
