LESSON IN PROGRESS!!!!

Assigned Teachers: Annette, Piyumika, Suren

Intro

Here’s a list of all the wonderful things you’ve done this year. We will be spending the next few weeks preparing them for display! Think of fun, interactive ways to display them for your exhibition.

Guide

Step 1: Select your best work. during the next two weeks, you will be showing only the best 75% of the work you’ve done since the last exhibition and decide whether they need to be updated and refreshed before the show.

Step 2: Design an exhibition experience and plan to break up the work into 5 major themes. Each theme could have it’s own area or installation Example:

  • 1. Animations theater and puppets: Lessons that can go into this are: Hat lessson, stop motion animation set, coral reefs, shadow puppet play

  • 2. Art for inclusivity: Lessons that can go into this are: texture art, sculptures, treasure tile workshop

  • 3. Children and the environment: Street furniture design, Nagahaswatte 2040

  • 4. mazes, games etc

    This is upto you.

Step 3: Design installations for each of the themes and map out a plan.

Step 4: Get to work! Here’s a guide as to how to manage your time.

Dec 1 & Dec 7: Sort out through the artwork, make a list and decide what needs more work and what you will leave out
